Stephanie Wirth

I was born on March 5th, which I once read in a day of birthdays is “The

Day of Heaven and Hell”. This study provides the basis of all my practice. I am
inspired by the full range of human emotion and all of my experiences without
discrimination.

Love, vulnerability, freedom and are the most

common emotions that come through in my work.

By exposing my own emotions and symbolic narratives or vulnerabilities the
work creates a space for others to relate and feel less alone in their own situations.
I’ve found that honesty is contagious. Photography is my medium of choice because
I find the process incredibly gratifying and I like that it often allows one to be a
participant in the world instead of a wallflower. Photography allows me to reach
out and communicate my internal emotions.

It also allows me to explore my love for fashion and human beauty.  Portraiture has become an integral part of my work.  I believe beauty comes in all forms, its often just waiting for someone to see it.
